Introducing Polar 0.2

Introducing Polar 0.2

Polar 0.2rck2004, the old kiesler.at theme, has been online from March 2004 until now, October 2004. It's been a quick hack and was meant to be replaced earlier. I've made a new theme, it's called Polar 0.2. It will be the default theme as of today.

Picturesworld Studios themes available for preview

updated by rck, 2006-11-02
Picturesworld Studios themes available for preview In an attempt to minimize clutter of the phpWebSite themes landscape, Picturesworld Studios merged their themes to the Kiesler phpWebSite Theme Preview Site. This makes life easier for people wanting to see all of the free available phpWebSites in just one place.

As usual, every theme on the preview site can be previewed with a single mouse click. Every theme is available to be commented as well.

Borkenkäfer Theme

updated by rck, 2006-03-12
Borkenkäfer Theme Two years ago, fredgsanford asked in the phpwsforums about black themes. Back then, no one had created a black theme. Until now, there's still not too many of those. Actually, I don't know of a theme that's totally black on black but that shouldn't be too much of a problem.

I tried creating a theme that's only gray and black, with a hint of green as an accent. You can download it here for free. Enjoy!

Try out phpWebSite themes

updated by rck, 2008-04-29
Try out phpWebSite themes A few days ago, Wayne from the phpWebSite support forums posted a question. Is there a way of previewing and trying all the different phpWebSite themes without downloading them first? A few hours later, there was.

I've implemented a very simple site using Wiki and the Anonymous Theme hack. The Wiki takes care of a history as well, so everyone can check out which new themes there are available for preview.

Congratulations, Lasse and Carol!

Congratulations, Lasse and Carol!

A couple of weeks ago, Andrew Patterson started a phpWebSite contest. The judges Sharon Renshaw and Shawn Murray were found rather quickly, people started working on their submissions. The goal was finding a new look for a new portal.

phpWebSite themes is the new project from the creators of phpwebsitemanual.com and will focus on phpWebSite themes. I'm already curious how it will turn out and wish all involved parties the best of luck!

New Theme: Lasse

MosMensk from LiquidArt made his first phpWebSite theme available. It is based around the topic “contemporary health”, very clean and nice to look at.

Oh, and it is the first 3rd party thing hosted on kiesler.at!

Theme-choosing for anonymous users

Theme-choosing for anonymous users

So you want to show your phpWebSite themes to anonymous viewers as well? That's not possible out of the box, as Layout, the module which is responsible for Themes, supports only logged in users. Well, it's possible now, some hours hacking later...

New Theme: Autumn

updated by rck, 2004-10-19
New Theme: Autumn

Autumn is my third single-column theme. This time, it's a "real" single-column theme, it hasn't got a sidebar anymore. As it's Autumn right now in Korneuburg, I did another google-picture search and found some nice autumn pictures.

By the way: You can download & use this theme!

New Themes: Emotions + Schloss

New Themes: Emotions + Schloss

I had an idea on Sunday. What, if I'd try to make phpWebSite look less like a content management system and more like a Designers site?

While I am no designer, far from it, I did some googling and came up with a nice singlecolumn layout. Combine it with a banner-image and the corresponding Swatches and you get Emotions. Or Schloss.
