I would like to design the site so that there is a master menu (top horizontal) that shows for all pages, then each main web page has a unique menu (vertical left) indicating sub-pages within that category. Is there some way to do this?

Thanks,
Bluecar (Dan)

Isn't that exactly what the category module (fatcat) itself does with What's Related?

or you could use the menuman-category-hack (download it here).
Or download the CVS version of menuman. In that version you can connect menus to specific pages.

I have downloaded the add categories to menu hack. It seems to be just what I'm looking for. What do I do with the files therein? I am kind of afraid to just thrash around because I don't want to harm what I've done so far.

Thanks!

Well, you could read the readme file.. ;-)
It says to replace some files. If you backup your old files you can always switch back to the original situation.
Backing up your database can't harm.

Oops! How embarassing. When I scanned through the readme file I didn't see the instructions in the very last paragraph. A definite case of "RYFM."

Thanks,
Dan

Where can I get the hacks to better use the Menu?
the links here all return PHP fatal error:

My ISP upgraded to PHP 5.2.0 and Article Manager choked on that. But the site is life again so you can download the hack.
