Most Blogs have them. Comment system that support homepage links. Making this possible in phpWebSite is not that much effort. Just add a template field, a new database field, a bit of php code and there you go.What about spam? | |
|---|---|
|
Yes, there's comment spam. We all know that. And it is easier by allowing anonymous comments, too. But think about it. You allow the a-tag, you allow the URL tag, why shouldn't spammers use that one anyway? I'm taking the naive, straight-forward attempt and ignore the comment spammers for once. Let's see how it turns out. |
|
What about my existing comments | |
|---|---|
| The existing comments are not touched at all. The homepage field can be null, so people are not forced to enter their homepage if they don't want to. | |
How can I implement it? | |
|---|---|
| To have homepage links on your site's comments also, please follow the steps described in the Homepage Links for comments thread in my forums. Have fun! | |
