What I saw today in the Freihaus of the Vienna Technical University seemed like a joke of students to me first. A Wickeltisch (what's the english word for it?) for Gents. I haven't even noticed it while entering the toilet and thought: Another Semester Starters Hack from a couple of drunken Students.

Anyway, when I walked out of the toilet, washing my hand, I saw it. A pretty simple desk with some upholstery on it. Quite basic, but well suited for it's purpose, I guess.

Well, this solves a problem, I haven't even thought of as yet. What, if some emancipated father carries his baby around and "a certain problem" arises? He could solve it in public, on a desk somewhere. Which could be embarrassing.

He could ask a woman to do it (which would be my approach, as I don't seem to be too "compatible" to babys anyway). Which would be pretty comfortable. :-)

Or he could simply ignore it, which would'nt be hygienic in any case.

I like the idea of having a Wickeltisch around for men. It gives a certain feeling of security for emancipated men, I guess. And it's not taking any space, anyway, as the Toilets of my university are quite big.
